2,104.06 കോടിയുടേതാണ് ചന്ദ്രയാന്‍ 4 ദൗത്യം. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ദീര്‍ഘകാല ചന്ദ്രയാന്‍ ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ നാഴിക കല്ലാണ് ചന്ദ്രയാന്‍ 4. 36 മാസത്തിനകം പദ്ധതി പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാനാണ് ഐഎസ്ആര്‍ഒ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. ചന്ദ്രനില്‍ നിന്നും കല്ലും മണ്ണും അടക്കം സാമ്പിളുകളാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ശേഖരിക്കുക.
ഗ്രഹത്തിന്റെ ഉപരിതലം, അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിലെ പ്രക്രിയകള്‍, സൂര്യന്റെ സ്വാധീനം എന്നിവ പഠനവിധേയമാക്കും. 1,236 കോടിയാണ് ചെലവ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്. 2028 മാര്‍ച്ചില്‍ വിക്ഷേപണം നടത്താനാണ് പദ്ധതി.
